There are so many Hypnosis benefits beyond what it is primarily known for which is smoking cessation and weight loss. Hypnotherapy works for resolving any emotional issue that leaves us feeling blocked or stuck. Let me just say before I move forward with this post that hypnotherapy is an AMAZING
therapy for weight loss and the reason the majority of my clients make their first appointment. The reason it works so well is that in a trance state individuals are able to focus so intently that they bypass the
logical analytical mind and are able to easily access the subconscious mind. This gives us access to our own inner knowledge, or intuition and helps us to solve our problems easily, problems such as why one may be overeating or smoking.
But there is so much MORE you can explore in hypnosis. As a hypnotherapist I can tell you countless stories about clients who have made radical transformation in their lives with the use of hypnotherapy. As human beings we often have a very difficult time letting go. We hold on old habits, relationships, jobs, and stories that no longer serve our best interest.
The subconscious mind that is fascinating. It holds all of the memories, sensations, and feelings that we have ever experienced. Most of this information is no longer in our conscious awareness. However, subconsciously we may be holding onto old thoughts and feelings that are still running us but we have no idea because the conscious mind has long forgotten about it. This can result in unwanted behaviors, habits, and emotions that no matter how we try we just can’t get a handle on them. It is easy to become consumed by negativity when you don’t understand the root cause. This can leave us feeling desperate and defeated.
Hypnotherapy can get you to the root of the problem my and collapse the anchor that is keeping you tied to the past. I like to tell people that hypnotherapy is not magic. I want my clients to have realistic expectations and it is absolutely true that as the client you have to want the changes you are seeking but you still may not see how to manifest it into reality. That’s where hypnosis comes in and makes you feel like something magical is occurring. A change in behavior or perception that you couldn’t even imagine would be possible can happen in just one session!
